Ten Doctor Who Monsters that should return

Since Dr.Who returned to our screens in 2005 we've been treated with the return of the Autons, Daleks, Cybermen, Macra, That Master Bloke, Davros,The Silurians and probably more. But there are some monsters, begging for a return. Heres ten of the best picks.

1. The Zygons

First appearing in the opening of Tom Baker's second season 'Terror of the Zygons' these creatures descended from there freshly destroyed home planet, landing in the depths of loch ness. They have the ability to transform into different species by kidnapping and taking body prints of their victims. They DO NOT need a redesign. At all. You could take the exact costumes they used then and use them now, they are that good.

Accompanied by a CG Skarasken and they're ready for a reboot :D

2. Mr.Sin (The Peking Homoculous)

Steven Moffat is good at writing creepy storys. Creepy Children, Creepy Clocks, Creepy Statues, Creepy Shadows. What Next? Creepy Dolls. Ventriloquist Dummies are scary as it is, but when they are carrying knives and they snort like pigs (yeah, maybe minus that) they are even worse.

The Peking Homoculous (known as Mr.Sin)was made in the 51st century for some politicians children. It had the cereberal cortex of a pig, and eventually, the natural element took over the robotic element, and it became murderous. It was employed by Magnus Greel and thats pretty much it.

Freaky Stuff.

3. Yeti

The Yeti appeared in the two Patrick Troughton stories 'The Abominable Snowman' and 'The Web of Fear', being controlled by the Great Intelligence. They are huge in size and powerful in strength, killing a man with a single blow.

What If a Yeti or two was still lying down in the underground, hidden from view, still not awakened? What if say, a new kind of energy powering the trains reawakened the creature, and it went on a rampage, a massacre in the underground?

Are you taking notes, Moffat?

Wirrin

Big Alien Bugs, with a reproductive cycle similar to that of a Xenomorph. They infect victims with their offspring by touch, and the victim slowly becomes the Wirrn.

They could do with a reboot, the costume of the actual Wirrn are fine, a bit floppy, but they're acceptable taken into account the time. But, the Wirrn grub looks quite tacky, and the Wirrn Pods are quite hmm.. Cardboard? Yeah..

I love Wirrn. Hench the name of the Blog, just don't if you're bringing them back, muck them up.

Sycorax

The first monster to feature exclusivly since the revival. These are my favourite post-McGann enemy. A Warrior-like, shamanistic nomad race, flying in giant stone spacecrafts, using weapons like knives and swords, they're the coolest Dr.Who monsters ever (bar Pyroviles).

They obviously don't need much of a redesign, but in the comic from DWM, 'Widow's Curse' we see a female Sycorax, which look really really cool.

C'mon, let's see a sycorax lady :D

Krynoid

Axons sprayed Green. Well, for a while. They begin as a coconut-sized seed pods, these burst, send out a tendrils that touches an animal, infecting it, then the animal mutates into a plant-human krynoid, before becoming about the size of a landrover, even though it looks a bit like a bit green tendrily mattress. Then the full Krynoid is grown, it's as big as a house and still looks a bit matressy.

The Krynoid is a scary monster, if you get your hands on an audiobook called Hothouse, with the Krynoids in it, give it a listen, it's quite frigtening.

Bring 'em back. Less matressy of course.

Special Weapons Dalek

The coolest of all the Daleks. First appeared in Rememberance of the Daleks, if the Target Novels are anything to go by, these ones are a bit mad, and they like guns a bit too much.

'nuff said.

Haemovores

In the Vampires of Venice episode this year, I was hoping for Haemovores. It's Venice, there's water, there's vampires. I though Haemovores, so did lots of people. Sadly they were rejected for the Saturynines or whatever.

The Haemovores are a kind of 'pollution is wrong' kind of enemy. They are evolved versions of us, mutated from the poisonous seas and skys of the future Earth.

They don't need redesigning, they're pretty amazing as they are.

Cybermats

The Cybermen's pets. First appearing in Tomb of the Cybermen. They're little slug things that can shoot EMPs into your brain and kill you, fair enough, but could you imagine an army of them, scouring the sewers for victims to bring to the cybermens underground lair?

They're really neat little buggers, and one of my favourites from the older episodes.

Nestene

Yes, Bring back the proper Nestenes. Not the big Orange thing, that was the Nestene Consciousness. The Nestene's are described in the Target Novelisations as a cross between an octopus, a spider and a crab ( see above ). The originate from the planet Polymos, and control the Autons.

They could be done really well with modern technology, and for that reason, they need to properly make the old lost story 'Yellow Fever and How to Cure it'.

Another Time Chaps, Jack.
